Nine Millions Bicycles

I think people can achieve greatness, or their life purpose when putting aside feeling, emotion and love. Love what you do, do what you love perhaps is the most misleading statement created by the elites to undermine those 96% average.

When someone is born, he had already been given a destiny based on his initial birth right, privileges and circumstances. It is up to him to understand his given destiny and made that his life purpose, and do whatever it takes to achieve, regardless of loving it or not. So, my point is, everybody we know, are all fighting their own battles. We should never judge or compare, but better respects their struggles, or you know, simply dismiss our thoughts about them. And if you can, comfort them when they got lost, tell them you trust them, and guide them back to their purpose.

Every time we judge someone, we know we had pleased, indulged our ego a bit too much, and after a while when your ego starts that self-correcting mechanism, you will be set into that depression mode again and again. Feeling of pointlessness, no purpose to pursuit whatsoever, weak and bored are popular symptoms.

I really enjoy that motto in every Selfridges in the UK, “self-indulgence”. Right after you purchase that expensive goods you had been longing for, and got that feeling of your ego being indulged for a really short of time, that expensive things suddenly become valueless and you are already looking for the next thing to have. Hence self-indulgence. We all know but cannot stop buying that short-lived hyped feeling for our ego.

There are better forms of self-indulgence in my opinion. My chosen one is dining, enjoying good foods, drinks, dissecting thoughts and ideology, envisioning the possibilities of the near future with people knowing me so well, to the point that even silence could speaks and eyes sight could tell. Someone who will never abandon you, and always support your cause. Someone that makes you feel less alone in your own battle. Someone that understands your boundaries never ask you that secret that you are not yet ready to share. Someone, that better be the opposite gender 🙂

If we are lucky, we may have that someone in our short life. If you also have them, then maybe this Katie Melua – Nine Millions Bicycles song will remind us of that someone.

There are nine million bicycles in Beijing

That’s a fact

It’s a thing we can’t deny

Like the fact that I will love you till I die

We are twelve billion light years from the edge

That’s a guess

No-one can ever say it’s true

But I know that I will always be with you

I’m warmed by the fire of your love everyday

So don’t call me a liar

Just believe everything that I say

There are six billion people in the world

More or less

And it makes me feel quite small

But you’re the one I love the most of all

We’re high on the wire

With the world in our sight

And I’ll never tire

Of the love that you give me every night

There are nine million bicycles in Beijing

That’s a Fact

It’s a thing we can’t deny

Like the fact that I will love you till I die

And there are nine million bicycles in Beijing

And you know that I will love you till I die!
